  • Safety Concerns

    Hello Episode Community,

In our Community Guidelines post we touched on respect and standards we hold our community to. Personal safety is another very important topic we would like to touch. We want everyone to be informed and knowledgeable about how to talk about, refer to, and talk to someone who has a mental illness or disorder. Please take the time to read below.

    Safety Concerns

Suicide & Self-harm -- You are not alone. If you need help, please contact these numbers for FREE and CONFIDENTIAL support. If you’re concerned for someone else, please let them know there are safe alternatives and places that can help:Eating Disorders -- These include anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder. There is no right way to approach a friend or loved one with an eating disorder, but the best is to let them know that you’re here to listen, and make them feel comfortable (What to Say & Do). For more information and advice please take a look at these websites or call.
**If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please call their local authorities.**

    Love,

    The Episode Team

There is also another website, www.Teencentral.com. This is an anonymous website for people with suicidal thought or having trouble with something. The is mostly recommended for 13+. I really liked the website even though I never used it. It gives you a response within 24 hours.
