    I really need help with layers! I don't understand how they work and would like to use them.
    Right now I am making a scene where two of my characters are in INT. GUARD DESK OL - DAY, I would like to have one character behind and one character in front of the desk,
    but I can't seem to be able to do it..

      Layering just doesn't help with backgrounds that already have overlays. I suggest you take a background and overlay separately and then layer the overlay and character. -1 will be like the bottom most and 10 will be the topmost layer. There are no limit to these numbers.

    so at the beginning the readers choose whether to write a note or not. and when it comes to the if/elif part of the story, the if part is correct but the elif isnt. The elif part just copies the if part of the story. and i think the background not being approved yet might have something to do with it but im not sure.

      Don't use elif if you have just 2 choices. Use if and else only. The else part wouldn't need a gain to be mentioned.

    Hi, I'm really new at directing and would like some help with getting my character to walk to a certain position while facing the direction in which she is walking.
    So.... I'm using EXT. TROPICAL BEACH DUSK - DAY and I'd like her to enter from screen left and walk to the designated spot but look out towards the beach. This is what's on the script; She walks from and to the right positions but I just want her to face the direction in which she's walking if that makes sense.

    This is my what I've got on the script
    @YOUNGER KASSI walks to spot 0.507 288 391 in 6 and YOUNGER KASSI does it while walk_neutral

      It's simple. Just add another command to that line. "AND YOUNGER KASSI faces right" or left. It will make sure the character is facing a certain direction. Sometimes readers experience glitches that are not visible in our run through.

      Thank you both so much. I've tried it facing left makes her look like she's doing the moonwalk though lol. I've read other stories where you can actually see the back of the characters' heads while they're walking. Any idea on how I can do that please?

      Just use the walk _ rear animation.

    What are the default spot numbers for screen right?

      Unfortunately there is not one set of numbers you can use for these spots. The spot number will change depending upon the zone the character is standing in. I can help you figure out what those numbers are.

      Just place your character in the zone at that position and in the web viewer go to spot direction and you will select that character. And there you have the spot for a particular zone. Remember to have the screen on that zone or the spot numbers will change.

    If I used a text effect for a word in the middle of a sentence, how do I get the text effect tos top?

      You have to reset it.
      Just add |reset| after the word or words you have used text effect on. If you require the word to have no space between them but still want to reset it. Use |reset, no-space|
