10/10/19 Episode’s Revised Guidelines go into Effect Today

Ooh i see - im sorry :flushed:

I already lost all my hope that my stories will ever be noticed and visible :pensive:

It is in top 100, but not in the app. :pensive:

Dont stress too much about it!! In time, things will be back to normal. We all just have to be patient. :grinning:

I must be the only one that isn’t bothered that my story is not showing on the app. It’s only temporary … you’ll still get reads and your rank will still fluctuate. The more demanding and the more you pester them, the longer it’s going to take for them to do their job; like @Liz has already stated in the OP. Just like, let them do what they gotta do? :woman_shrugging:t2::joy:

lol was anyone really expecting it to be perfect? We knew a lot of stories would be taken down or whatever.

Although seeing a cover with a chick in a bikini with her booty cheeks hanging out is idk…

So can someone explain to me why these new guidelines are so strict and trying to make the app user friendly for anyone that is as young as 13 years of age, yet I am constantly getting ads for the new Zombieland movie coming out, which is an MA 15+ movie here in Australia?

Episode wants to make the app more family friendly like for example removing stories that contain explicit sex scenes that are inappropriate to young readers but they are thinking of making an app for older teens and adults in the future

As for the ads, i don’t think Episode has control over what ads play in the app

Am I the only one who thinks it’s gone childish instead of mature? I mean, I like a few of these new guidelines, but no guns on covers is a little too far

I like that they’re slowly turning this app from a 2nd pornhub to an actual story app with many genres that are not just sex, but with the guidelines becoming stricter, it’s becoming hard for me to write a story while trying to keep it suitable for 13 year olds. Anywayy, that’s my problem.

Moving on, revising some of the originals, taking off sex stories from the app and a ton more, is probably one of the best things I’ve heard this day, good job episode! :hugs:

They’re doing another app that will be more mature, Liz wasn’t talking about Episode

Looks like more stories have been added. My reviewed story is back.
@CoraMae I see Thriller: Where’s Joanne? (I’ve only checked horror/thriller)

This isn’t the more mature app. This is project that a small part of our team is working on.

@Liz I know this testing app is only available for a limited amount of people but do the reads still count??? If someone on this other app was to read my story does that still go towards my monthly payments/reads.

Episode not only has to go by their own guideline but also guidelines that Apple and google play set to keep the 13+ rating. Which episode for so long ignored with their own feature stories and a lot of authors ignored too.

@Liz I’m so confused: why is my story on this love life app without author permission? :exploding_head:

Thankyou for replying but what do you mean by working on are you guys using it to test out some possible features for the app everyone is using now or is this just an app that you guys are going to use to test on because isnt it just a replica of “episode”??

I’m kinda worried tho. Well yeah it’s good if they make the mature app, but what if ink is not available anymore on that app?

Ink isn’t going anywhere, that will definitely be available on the new app
