110/3 = 36.66 so thatā€™s for one day

so it would be:

10(36.66)= 355.6 + 35 so it would be: 390.6

OMG I THINK I GOT IT

Go to the face reveal. It has more hype.

One solution coming right up!
canā€™t say itā€™s right or wrong though, so please! correct me if Iā€™m wrong!

sorry if this is late! but I hope it helps you in the long run! plus if anyone needs this file, I can send in thru email! just pm!

Letā€™s start this off the easy calculation:

Second rental company formula is y = 28x + 15. (Plug in 10 for X)
y = 28 (10) + 15 ===> 295
Total: $295 for a 10 day rental.

First rental car company says theyā€™re charging a 35 dollar one-time fee.
y = 35 + (expression)

We have to figure out what expression theyā€™re asking for.

We know that there is a rate of $110 for a 3 day rental.

To get the rate PER day, requires a division.
$110 / 3 day will gives a cost per day. This is equal to 36.6.ā€¦ (continued)

Now letā€™s plug in the expression:
y = 35 + 36.67x (where X represents the number of days, in which case is 10)
y = 35 + 36.67 (10) ===> 401.7
Total $401.7 for a 10 day rental.

The better deal is the second rental company!

Iā€™m pretty sure the 35 represents a one-time fixed fee, not the cost per day for the first rental company. This math question is not phrased the best way, imo!
