Hi! So I have a few questions. I was thinking about making an art Instagram, but I’ve never had Instagram before and I have no clue how to get started. I also am wondering which username to go by. On here, you know me as ArtisticWaffle (which obviously isn’t my real name or anything 
), but in the art community, there’s already a big YouTuber/Instagramer named DrawingWiffWaffles (who’s amazing btw) but I don’t want to get confused for her. So do you think I should go by ArtisticWaffle again or LovelyLirie (which has some connections to my real name) or something else/another combination? I’m also really scared that people will judge me and that no one will follow me and idk what to do. I’ve been having some issues with my art recently and I can’t make things consistent, so idk if that’d be a problem. Also, are there any other platforms that are good for artists? Please let me know if you have any ideas! Thank you! 
I also just made my account yesterday! But I’m really glad I did now, rather than later, or never. I had the time to meet some amazing people! I was really confused on where to start, but just be yourself, post what you like!

I think you should go for it. Anyone on the forums who has an IG and admires or appreciates you will follow you, so you’re already starting with a few admirers/friends 
I can talk from experience, pretty much the people on the forums who have an IG and appreciate what I do, follow me while others don’t know me or dislike me or for other reasons 
That’s how I see it 
But you will also reach a newer audience as well, one that’s exclusively on IG only 
I’d say make one 
You should also use art tags on your post 
If anyone is bothering you, unlike the forums, there is a block button. IG also has night mode 
Deviant Art, Art Station.
I love ArtisticWaffle so I’d say pick that name

I mean, my instagram is @crackedcharcoal , so I would say a name change is fine! There are a lot of episode people on instagram too, usually with “epi” or “.episode” in their name if you wanted to find ‘em.

I did it! I created an account and it’s called @lovelylirie.art (ArtisticWaffle was taken and I didn’t want to add a bunch of stuff to it). Feel free to check out my limited content. I’d love to follow any forumers!

My only advice would be, if you never used platforms like ig, to remember and set hashtags right, whenever you publish. If you aim for the episode audience, for instance, there’s a bunch of hashtags people use to find one another. Like #noticemeepisode, #episodeart etc.
