It’s a super hero story. The main character is one of the villains alongside her boy/girlfriend(Let’s call them J). The hero is the LIs brother. All 3 used to play together as kids and got their powers at the same time. I planned the main character’s whole motivation in full detail but I’m having trouble with J. Supposedly they’re the ones that urged the main character to become a villain and are pulling all the strings while convincing the main character their plan and end goal is way different than what J Is actually planning because they need the MC’s powers for the plan to work. So that makes me have 2 dilemmas
- Does J actually grow to care about the MC and loves her but doesn’t tell her the real plan because they know she won’t agree or were they faking the relationship to manipulate the MC?
- Does J have powers? I planned the character’s personality and powers but I’m still missing the motivation. Would it make more sense J doesn’t have powers and that’s why they need the MC so their only weapon is their intelligence or is it better to make them have powers? Not having powers could give them the motivation: they’ve always been a bit shy and an outcast. Their jealousy of their brother kept growing over the years and it reached maximum levels when the brother got powers and J didn’t. On the other hand, not having powers means they’ll never be involved in a fight and stay further away from any action scenes.
