I was doing a scene where my character was messaging someone and now all my dialogue is in text messages, i have deleted that scene but it won’t go away.

You need to write:
set format cinematic
After text scene. If you’re on text scene and skip to other scenes, ignoring set format cinematic line, it will be in text format
