I tried doing this in a story. I used a carrying box animation. Then I spot directed Character 1 off camera so that the reader couldn’t see them. Finally, I zoomed in to Character 2’s feet so the reader can’t see Character 2’s empty arms.

It worked out fine for the specific scene I was writing because Character 1 was lying down on the ground passed out. So it looked as if Character 2 carried Character 1 away.

But it would’ve been WAY easier if there was an actual animation for carrying someone!!!
