@Tory Iām really sorry episode but I swear this update has been an absolute failure. I may be fine with the folds on the forehead but the lips all look like they have just undergone a terrible surgery and my characters canāt talk or express their mouths comfortably anymore. I really hope that it is bug that can be fixed or if you can take an action and fix it because I really donāt want my LIs looking like they just had a lip surgery. They look really ugly with it and there is no way people enjoy it. While I love episode and am going to still stay on the app despite these changes, I think many people would think otherwise. So please, for the sake of everyone and the fans, change the animation back to the original or at least fix the mouth. Itās really off putting. Thank you!

I feel the same way. There are a lot of scenes in my stories that require a serious tone, but these new animations make my character look less passionate and more goofy. It matters to someone who makes episode stories for sure. it can ruin the whole story.

@amepisode do you know if episode has ever undone any new changes due to negative feedback? Like have they ever released an update which no one really liked and then when they got feedback they modified or changed it?

1000% every single word here is spot on, Amanda. Iām devastated too, and I often donāt like things and complain and roll my eyes, but this is utterly debilitating. I will not update my other completed LL stories even though there were a couple small errors. No way, my characters donāt even look like my characters anymore. I havenāt even begun to think about how these changes will impact my ongoing LL story.

@Tory Not liking this new update. The talking animations are very awkward looking. Their mouth drops so unnaturally vs before I had no complaints. The arms crossed angry idle animation is way too angry nowā¦& so many animations look very cartoonish & unnatural. The previous style looked more realistic and they flowed better throughout the scene. The expressions were perfect they portrayed exactly what the authors wanted to convey.
plus itās disappointing to have to watch my stories all over again & fix things that didnāt need to be. Episode should have just gave us new animations instead of overriding hundreds of animations used in all the stories on the app.

I 100% agree with this . This makes me want to not code my story due to this . Animations are just horrible now . Hopefully episode will un do this . And just like someone said this is literally how I feel atm

I do not usually reply to feedback topics, but this just irks me to do so. I do appreciate an attempt to update/create more natural expressions. This subjectively is the opposite, particularly the brow and mouths animations.
Previewing through with the animation update, the expressions are now too jarring, the brow creases just pop-up and disappear going between multiple animations like a switch and it does not look natural, the creases look as though something is smeared between their eyebrows. What makes this not work is the limelight models by nature are very smoothened and have the minimum facial features, so it just does not mesh well as is.
The new mouths feel a bit just copied and pasted on all āsimilarā animations now, and I feel they looked too puckered, and depict different emotions on animations than they did previously.
While I always appreciated new features for the animation library, I feel this was executed poorly. I feel and feel as though many would agree, I would much prefer more added animation variety than this āupdate.ā

This is spot on exactly how I feel. So demotivating to have to redo all of our stories to accommodate something we didnāt need. Ugh. I hope this & all our comments make them change it back
