True. I remember posting my first ever story and to be honest it was so cringy, had no zooms and proper spot directing, it looks incredibly awkward that I deleted it even though I had just started getting reads, I knew people would dip cause I felt like doing it myself. I took a break for a year and a half on the posting stuff, so that I can learn coding. It’s still not the best but I think people can manage and not dip if they see my stories and their progress now!

Really good response. But they are rolling back this update as you already know. So we will get back the old animations. However in the next update. They can hopefully update the characters without the lip change since it was moving terribly.

What I mean is that while some of them were good. It just took away from the limelight what we usually love to see.
I feel like they can include those animations but to make it look more like original one.

Yes I’m aware it’s rolled back, but it will likely go back in the future so that was my feedback for the next update if it happens.
I think lip change will stay, but it will be adjusted. It’s a different way of animating and I think it’s a good change to make lips actually move not only making the illusion without the face moving. For me it was a good decision, and something it’s really easy to get used to. But it’s good that small issues with the lips shape was addressed and that we don’t have to compromise.
We can expect that no new animations will be created in the old technique, so it’s necessary to move to receive the new ones. And I’m very excited to see what episode comes up with, because we really lack animations now.

Yes I agree. I just hope that with the new update, the lip change could be that it’s more smoother but not warped. Like for example, my characters had medium straight natural lips, and his looked very inflamed and warped. It looked very uncanny and unnatural. I wouldn’t want that to the be the new reality obviously. And many others didn’t like how warped it looked as well.
As with lip change, I totally get it but I hope that they can do it without overall changing the way the lips actually move. Like maybe they can make the lips move more smoother? I would still like the smiles and way they move to be the same. Just the speed to be more smoother.
I think the best way they can update it is to add more detail to the characters’ faces.
I hope that the new update actually takes our feedback seriously.

Let’s just celebrate that this update is now gone, and that we can have the old animations back.
Let’s also make sure that episode’s next update will not affect our characters again. Small changes are fine. But they should at least let us preview it and see if we’re okay with it before finalizing it.

I think that Episode should show us what they have in mind before they finalize it. Like give us a preview. Or let us vote in a poll.

Yeah they said that they will roll it back asap. Give it some time. It’ll come back. They have to first roll it back.

They’re changing them back to the original animations, don’t worry. They will eventually have to update their system but hopefully the next time they roll out a “more emotive” animation update, they’ll do it with all of our listed concerns in mind.

They definitely will. Otherwise they’ll be facing backlash again. Also it wouldn’t make sense to just put back what we severely disliked. They noted down our feedback, and now know what to avoid for next time.
I hope things go back to normal soon.

Tbh I think the facial details can stay, but the lips should remain the same pretty much. Because my male character had Medium Straight Natural lips and to have them look like a hybrid between Medium straight natural and medium heart was sickening. He deadass looked like he was having an allergic reaction. I certainly don’t want that to happen again, as I created him with an image I had in mind.
