Have to fix/add few things to chapter one and then I can finish dialogue for chapter two… still a lot to do before I can send it to beta readers/proofreaders 🥲

Just 2 scenes coded which is hardly 2 minutes, menu’s and splashes are done.
I’m having second thoughts, I don’t feel like entering anymore 
I’m not sure I’ll finish so I’m gonna go at my own speed and publish in batches just before the deadline I think

I need advice
So I’m thinking of entering the contest. I have an idea but haven’t thoroughly planned anything as of now. Do you I can make it before the deadline? (Directing won’t be a problem for me as I’ve been writing for a few year now)
Also I have one ongoing story 🥲

Hey guys, I just realized something
One of the top winners for the Kiss and Tell Contest has a story involving the MC and LI kissing (which was sort of the theme) in the very first episode, but the MC isn’t supposed to. It’s very vague in the 1st chapter of this continued story and the rest of it all completely makes sense past the very 1st episode. I’ve reread that contest’s requirements for their stories to qualify, but since that contest was 3 chapters in 8 weeks, I assume the MC of the K&T contest has to kiss someone they shouldn’t in the very first episode, like the Double Life contest.
With my entry, I don’t think adding the MC say something like “Oh no, I have to live a double life now! Ah!” in the very. first. episode will pace my story the way I want it to, because I plan on continuing it. This is including a flash-foward/flashback, it just doesn’t make sense…Plus, it just wouldn’t make sense overall. My 1st episode, sort of has to be vague in the beginning where my MC adopts the ability to cause her double life.
So my question is, what gives? If a winner from a previous contest, involving the protagonist kissing someone in the very first episode but being very vague, could win, is there a possibility I can do this too? Be vague about it in the first chapter? (But completely showing my MC adopting the ability to cause her double life?)

If the double life is showed in the first episode you’re good to go. One key suggestion to know if it qualifies or not is… For a moment just forget that this id DL entry and someone who doesn’t know contest and stuff is reading your story. Now without them knowing that, they should figure out there’s dual life getting into the picture!!

yeah. Yeah I think it does, I want to have a couple of beta readers shortly before I publish so I can get a few opinions if it’s already noticeable that there’ll be a double secret life going to have to happen.

I have also 1 on going story.
I’m entering, but I have almost 5 chapters done and I had already plot for 6 chapters (when I decided that I will participate) .
If you know that you have a lot of free time then enter, I think you can finish before deadline

I have a question, if anyone can enlighten me I’d appreciate it!
The MC is on a quest to revenge, so she plans on how to take down the people who hurt her. She has never told anyone about this. Does this count a double life or would it fit better if she was in a sort of “group” (let’s say a group that helps her have more information and fulfill her mission) and if that was a job for her?
I hope what I’m saying is understandable
no copy pls, though I doubt people are going to change their plot now lol

Okay, the MC needs 2 lifes, 1 the MC is currently working under, and 2 is the MC secret life where the MC hunts down the people who hurt her. So her current life will be a undercover person, and her secret life will be something she goes in disguise to hunt down the people who hurt her/him. Maybe. I know this is fantasy since it’s a quest but what is the current life the MC will be doing.

She does have two lives: a normal life, then she also track down people as a “secret”, so that’s her double life. But I was wondering if the tracking down people would count as a double life? Since it’s not a job per se
I know this is confusing, so I hope you get what I mean

I mean tracking, can be a job or not, as long as that what the MC does for a living. XDD or adopting, I guess. lol Yeah it is a bit confusing but I get where you’re coming from.

the second life doesnt need to be job. It can be simply secret separate life. Like Zoro is also example of DL yet it was not his job.
