I think my scary overlays are too scary to handle 
I was uploading my cover 5 times if not 6 and sent two tickets before they approved it… of course approval arrived before anyone responded to ticket (the most stressful week) then when I rated my “experience” with their Customers Service as bad, they replied to ALREADY CLOSED ticket after almost two weeks……
So you never know with them but hope they will finally approve them for you.

That’s fine to be like that, don’t worry. It’s been a really short time. It’s hard to come up with a strong plot and characters’ personalities in such a short period, contests are stressful, and this one esp, cuz 8 episodes ha
I had the same trouble, god knows how many times I rewrote the first 3 episodes. Episode 1 I even rewrote with 70% of brand new scenes and dialogs, and I’m yet to rewrite dialogs in all 3 once again.
In my case, the problem was that I didn’t know the exact motivation for MC and LI. So I had the plot beats as they meet here, they should talk about this, etc etc. But how will they talk bout this? Why did they do what they’ve done? I didn’t see the whole picture behind them to make a proper dialog. Something was always missing, and I couldn’t understand what. And my confusion was gone once I gave the story to my friends for a beta-read, they asked so many questions, I was overwhelmed and even felt down, but the thing is that it’s a temporary feeling, and I knew that it’ll be gone once I figure out everything. So, I talked a lot with friends, which helped me to finally see everything I needed. Like, this image of the story was always there somewhere in my head, but it was blurry, it was hard to concentrate and extract it. But the talk with beta-reads helped a lot. I feel relieved now, my head is clear. Maybe that can be a way for you as well? Just a suggestion.

Maybe. I usually plan a lot before writing the story, but this time I didn’t get to do that because I was on a shorter deadline. I always try to relate at least one part of the MC to an aspect of my life and this one wasn’t really related at all. 
I’ll probably just re-write it not entered in the contest.
You can use real places like New York, Times Square, or La Pedrera in Barcelona, or idk Forbidden City in Beijing, for example XD
But you cannot use specific places such as Starbucks (or any other specific cafe), or some real Mall that actually exist.
Avoid brands, trademarks, and real business’ names
