Question. Can we retell 2 fairy tale in 1? ( Pinocchio + Beauty & The Beast) For example, a scientist created a robot boy with the same physical appearance as his dead grandson, but like every creation he creates there’s always a flaw. Lets say his creation later on wants to be a real boy but his creator is afraid what society will think of him. I’m just brainstorming here…:sweat_smile:

I don’t see why what would be a problem as that is your own spin on fairy tales. In fact it’s extremely creative which is what the judges are looking for

I doubt that we’re not allowed to change the ending of the fairy tale, especially if the beginning follows the original fairly closely. Ariel’s story (with a twist) except she doesn’t die seems like it would be reasonable

What sounds good?
  • Beauty and The Beast but the beast is beautiful and the curse is broken by someone loving her not for her looks
  • Modern retelling of Eros and Psyche where psyche is the girl who replaced aphrodite as the face of some brand and eros is meant to look into her past to find some dirt but instead falls for her
  • Cinderella but the prince is a stalker (AND HE’S NOT THE LI)
