Oooh I thought it was all choices. Free and gem, included. As I am letting my audience pick the gender of their love interest, essentially it doubles the coding. I basically have a total of 10 choices, 5 in the female branch and 5 in the male branch. 2 of which are gem choices and the rest are free. I also have bonus scenes and exclusive features that give the reader advantages throughout the story

If I give the option to get to know the LI but it won’t affect the story will that still count as the required gem choice?

This is the way I’m going about the gems. You know how at the end of chapters usually authors give the readers bonus scenes. Well instead of doing those at the end up putting them in the story. And at the end I’ll just put something goofy. That’s how I’m going about it.
