Announcing the Open Mic Writer's Contest

You can make the change since they told you to. Once you change the background reply to them and let them know you fixed it. Wait for them to approve you before doing anything else

Well then I can already tell that I can leave the contest earlier. Yay!

:thinking: Question if I accidentally delete the publish chapter then copy paste back from previous revision without adding new content is that fixing or addin? Coz I want to publishnew chapter but accidentally wrong copy and paste after checking grammar :expressionless:

I never knew they did it by genre… I thought they probably reviewed them by rank/reads or retention scores. If they’ve already reviewed all of the romance entries that they are going to, then I suppose mine won’t be among them then :joy: Not heard from them at all. Though my entry did hit over the 100 reads in just a couple of days, and was published before the deadline.
I did have to republish again the day after though due to an error in a dressing game label which made a looping scene, but other than that :woman_shrugging:t2: and it does say you can fix typos and errors in the OP.
Nevermind, was fun to enter anyway.
Best of luck to those still in the running!

We’re in the same boat, Che! I don’t think they review by genre, though (I’ve never heard of it before). If they do, it means I’m out too, because my entry is also a romance, and I haven’t received any reviews so far.

I wouldn’t take the risk, but you can ask them directly if you really want to publish your new chapters!

:joy: :joy: I never know if these things are true or not, I’m always so far out of the loop lmao!

I feel like if they do it by genres, it would be helpful to announce that the genre is now closed for reviewing so authors who have entered and published in that genre won’t be anxiously waiting to know whether or not their story is considered and whether or not they can edit whatever they want or should wait just in case. There are things I’d like to edit that I didn’t manage in time before publishing but I’m not sure if they’re still reviewing so I’m holding off on it. granted at this point, I think it’s probably just not gonna get reviewed. I have also asked if I could make the certain changes I want to but no response still.

@Cheyara_Skadi @khrema.episode I’m also in the romance genre and didn’t get reviewed. Hopefully someone in the romance genre says they got reviewed recently :eyes:

I did too now!

I thought it was only for genre 101 rank or maybe they are doing it for each genre?

I don’t think it’s by genre. But the goal is to hit 100 to get reviewed faster, not 101

You’ll be reviewed if you have good retention too

I heard rumors about hitting rank like 100 or 101 you will get reviewed faster. But from the comments some people are saying that they are going by genre, but I don’t think that is true

Yeah, If your story hit 100 your story will get review faster and I guess it just depends on the reviewer on what story they get (idk how it works but you will get review )

i sat at 101 and 100 for weeks before getting reviewed  that’s why i’m thinking it’s by genre. and they reviewed some romance/drama stories within the first week. :grimacing: i’m honestly not sure how it works, i wish they’d be straightforward and tell us.

If they do by genre, it’s a game changer tbh. I never thought about it that way, but that would be correct with the whole 101/100 rank and sitting on it for weeks without anything. And of course, they would start with romance or drama. interesting…

Yeah, same here, I am in the sci-fi section, and I was sitting rank 101/100/102 for a couple of days and I got reviewed. This whole review thing is a conspiracy :joy: :ghost:

Yeah, by genre is a game changer for sure lol. Did you get review?
