Hopefully!
Iβm a new writer and Iβm a little slow so weβll see
Good luck on yours!
Thank you and good luck to you as well!
Hi @Melani3
I just have a quick question Iβm curious about, does not including sound + music, lower a storyβs score and chance of getting selected as a contest winner? Or does it not matter at all and will be considered just as much if the author chooses to not include any?
Girl, youβre fine. For the squad contest, I started writing, not even scripting, three weeks before the deadline-
The rubric for scoring, which can be found in the contest rules, does have use of sound as a part of the advanced visual directing score. It certainly isnβt required, but it can be helpful if used masterfully!
Hereβs my entry!

Can I upload my contest story once itβs done?
if itβs done before the deadline (15th of March) then you either upload it on the day and before the time of the deadline ends or if you finish it earlier and you want to announce it you can do so.
Txs
Should I worry for the deadline if I didnβt start yet?
If you have your plot and are super quick at coding no but if otherwise yes.
Nah, itβs still over a month, so youβre good!
Quick question:
If I started working on a story in, say, December (still unpublished), and I find that it fits this prompt, am I allowed to submit that for the contest?
Yes as long as it was never published to any and I mean ANY platform. Someone in another contest got their winning story taken off the winners list because they had used the story on wattpad even when they changed it up but they used the same title.
Okay, thank you!
Am I allowed to post screenshots on instagram, or does that count as being published?
Yes you are allowed to post sneak peeks that is not being published. It does not count as published if you screenshot a moment, it only counts as published is when it has three episodes or a chapter of your story has been published on another platform even under a different name.
Cool! Thank you for answering my questions!
Sounds so fun! Can it be a really small risk with large consequences? I have an idea
Can I release new chapters after submitting before the deadline
