Thank you, Tory for changing the title requirement <3
hey! i know this may sound dumb and i apologize in advance, but a clarification would clear things up.
Does this mean that the title of the story should have the word “Unexpected” in it? like for example “UL: Unexpected Flowers”? or just UL before the original title? ![]()
This version is correct! I thought I had caught everything when updating the post, but obviously not. Thank you for pointing out the confusion!
Why isn’t the contest called “unexpected love” then?
Are you entering?
Cause I still don’t understand… is it about falling in love in an unexpected situation or someone you didn’t expect to fall for? @Tory
I’m pretty sure it can be either
Oki thanks ![]()
Does anyone know if we can enter more than one story ?
You can’t
Ok thank you , this is my first time entering a contest so I didn’t know-
No problem ![]()
I’m 50/50; it depends on many factors. We’ll probably see in January ![]()
On how many people enter?
nope :3
I’m quite happy about the 1 chapter reduction for the deadline! I may actually be able to enter at this point. However, I don’t understand the need for abbreviating a singular ten-letter word. Oh well. ![]()
the “need to abbreviate it” was just so story titles wouldn’t be crazy long
like “UNEXPECTED: OMG This Story is So Unexpected!” (this is obviously just an example but you get what I’m saying.)
I understand. I’m just used to seeing the abbreviations be for longer phrases such as “Stuck With You,” “Risk And Reward,” etc. My contest entry (crossing my fingers it gets done!) title is only two words, so looking at it from that perspective, the full “Unexpected” fits in fine.
I think @k.klein meant that the contest is called “unexpected” and doesn’t get what’s wrong with that … but titles like Stuck with you were shorten to SWY that’s why I think people prefer it @k.klein
well anyway, good luck to any author who decides to enter!! you got this bestie ![]()
