Last week, I uploaded my new commissioned cover for review and I was so excited for it…
Then episode pull this card on me🙃
The cover was hand drawn, even the background was drawn by the artist… She removed the watermark so I wouldn’t get pulled up with that…
They were based off my episode avatars (all I gave the artist, no muses) so they aren’t based off celebrities.
There are knives in the cover but that doesn’t break guidelines (my current cover has a knife in it too and that is approved and that was months ago)
So when I received the email, I sent episode a support ticket literally 10 minutes later explaining that it was commissioned, and sent them my conversations with the artist, emails of the artist sending the sketch and the finished product, as well as the invoice she sent me to pay for it.
It’s been 6 days and I have heard absolutely NOTHING from episode… It’s very disheartening when I KNOW this doesn’t break guidelines but here I am no further forward than I was a week ago.
Do the image review time usually take a week or more to get back to people? Just curious… I’m so anxious about it all.
Yes, sometimes they even take two weeks or more to respond.
Their response time greatly varies especially now because they’re going through entries, but since you’ve provided them with all of the information you possibly could, it’s likely they’ll approve the cover for you once they see your ticket unless your artist has traced or something (not saying they have, but sometimes that’s why they get rejected).
I don’t think you have anything to worry about though. I’m sure they’ll get to you within another week or so.
I don’t think you have anything to worry about. I uploaded my new cover and an art Scene, both handdrawn by me (so it’s not traced or anything) and both have been rejected for the same reasons as yours. I sent a support ticket and after a week I got the message that it was a mistake and they finally approved it
Thank you for responding! I am feeling very anxious as I’m on day 6 of not hearing anything so I was beginning to wonder if it actually does break guidelines
