Anyone else having the same problem on the portal?

Hi everyone!
Since a few days, I am getting errors with some animations (with Ink) that apparently don’t exists for some body types according to the portal? :face_with_monocle:

Of course, this is really weird, because there are no other body types for Ink (yet). I don’t believe there will be some day, since Episode said they’ll probably no longer update for Ink ever anymore.

Here’s an example of one of the errors I get (first photo). It’s confusing, because I didn’t even type talk_neutral_unsure (second photo) and the animation works perfectly fine in the preview (third photo). I even used the talk_unsure animation before that scene and I got no error!

I am a LL writer too and I haven’t experienced it yet with LL, so I have no clue if it’s also the case with writing in LL. Maybe I’m even the only one that experiences these strange errors?

Have you got these type of errors, too? Do you have any possible solution for it? Let me know! :blob_hearts:

Hi I’m pretty sure it’s a bug I’ve seen a lot of people having this issue…

i haven’t experienced this yet but from other people they said that import the animations from the animations tab on the bottom of the previewer instead of the art catalog animation category solves it

Thanks for your response! But, you can’t change the text from the previewer, or is that incorrect?

sorry, what text?

I don’t think I understood you, then

Talk_neutral_unsure isn’t an INK animation.

Use that same animation. The talk_neutral_unsure, is not an animation for LL and INK. Since I checked in the animatons catalog. Since both LL and INK have talk_unsure.

I had the same problem when copying the animation from the Animations section in the art catalog, so I went to the animations in the portal, and used them, and it worked for me.

I know, that’s why it’s so weird it says in the error, even when I wrote talk_unsure

I haven’t used talk_neutral_unsure. If you look at the second screenshot, you can see that I used talk_unsure. That’s why I’m so confused

I saw it, and I meant that one. Since I was checking to see if the error animation was in the portal, because the writers portal always giving an animation with this body type error

I don’t think I understand your possible solution, sorry :disappointed: Thank you for your responses, though!

Errors like these meaning that when you use animation, maybe from the Art Catalog in the Animation section, if you copied an animation from there, and paste in your script, it always gives that error.

If you use the animations from in the Writer Portal meaning where your script is on the left side, and on the right side, you’ll see, Animations By Character, Script Templates, Props, etc. So if you clicked on Animations By Character, and your character’s name, and click on the same animation you are looking for and paste it in your script. It works.

So, this is a bug, I’d send a support ticket to the team if this continues.

Ah okay, sorry that I didn’t understand you. I already tried that multiple times, but it didn’t work for me :disappointed:
Thank you for your time

So I wanted to check to see if talk_neutral_unsure, was in the Animations Section for Limelight, and INK, and there was not. So the correct animation name is talk_unsure. So, I guess the portal itself, gave a wrong animation that is not in the portal. Meaning maybe a hidden animation.

Yeah, it’s weird…
I didn’t use the art catalog or whatever, I just wrote it myself, because I knew that animation exists.
Let’s hope it gets fixed soon!

I’ve been having animation errors for about 2 weeks now, works for certain characters but not the ones I wanna use the animation for, it’s so irritating.
