So I’m black and I have very curly, kinky textured hair. It’s what some call “4a hair”, I personally do not believe in these hair types but I will comply with this title as it easiest to identify others like me with it. I’m just looking for some of mah natural gurls to chat with cos I’ve been natural my whole life and I’m realising now I suck at it.

I have been completely natural since 2016, but my last relaxer was in 2014. I was doing pretty good with my routines and such up until this past March. My hair started falling out, I was getting single strand knots and my edges were GONE! :sob: I cried like a baby. Lol. I was neglecting my hair for months after that because just about everything I was using, wasn’t working for my hair. But I’ve been trying to get back in the swing of things, and starting over, trying to find products that work for my hair. My hair has many different hair types ranging from 3c - 4b and a small patch of 4c. Because of that, I don’t like hair typing. I used to think I had being natural down to a T! But now I’m thinking it was probably all in my head. :woman_facepalming:t5:

I think mine is kinky 4B and I usually use shea butter

Damn! If people only knew the struggle of having kinky hair. I hate it when some girls say they have curly hair and it’s nothing like ours and talk about they go through the same struggle of it to. I’m here like: :neutral_face:

Yeah. I hate straightening my hair though. I’ll do it maybe for some special occasions but I just hate it generally. Even using a iron to curl it, it’s annoying. I just hate the feeling. Mainly because I have lost some of my curl pattern before because I kept doing it.

My mom won’t let me cut my hair and I kinda did want to at some point but nah. I wanna let it grow more.

Yes I do bantu knots, twists, box braids or I just let it afro or an afro puff
