Ah, I see where you’re getting at. IMHO, I think the reviewers only wish to help the writers improve. However, some are more blunt than others, which causes a dispute. It’s a matter of how readers take it. For me, I don’t mind blunt reviews! But I understand how other people would get offended more easily than I would. Harsh reviews may be damaging to the story’s appeal, but it still gives you a reason to improve either way! But I do think that if the reviewer has extremely honest and constructive criticism, should claim it before offering reviews.
