Art Feed Back Please. Open to honest feed Back

Hey, so I’m new to the graphic design community. This is my first actual drawing I ever finished. I did use a heavily referenced picture only because I’m still new to drawing. What do you guys think. I am open to honest answers.

This is the reference

this is my drawing

Are you sure you reference, and not just colored the already existing outline, reference means drawing on an empty sheet

the reason why I think you just colored it, is because the lines match to perfectly, this are perfect lines match,

I did a little bit of both to be honest. I’m still new to the whole drawing thing. I tried to add my own things to it like take off the tattoos and fix the dress up a bit. But yes, I did both color over. I’m mostly practicing with shading and figuring out how to place things if that makes sense. one reason why is said heavily referenced and added the picture above to show it wasn’t my original work since i know thats kinda illegal lol

okay, your forgivin just for the future be honest call it a coloring of an outline not a refrence. because those are very diffrent things, and it takes two seconds for people to figure out your lying, experts like me can call you out so fast, so dont ever lie about art you make,

secondly, you coverd the tag, dont ever do that, you do never cover a tag, it changes your art piece from, coloring an art work, to stealing.

Thanks for the feed back. I appreciate it. Only covered it since I put up the original. Called it reference only because I couldn’t remember the actual word. lol

if you have any tips and tricks for me that would be awesome. I’m honestly bad at line drawing. I’m ok at coloring but bad at line work. haha

also a extra thing, I asume you got it on pinterest, please dont get art there from. and espically dont offer to make art for people, if you are tracing other peoples art, that is stealing, its alright to do if what you use isnt copyrighted like stuff you can find on pixabay, and you ofcourse tell who make it to its traced

I made a very nice forum explaing why not to use pinterest please read
Explain: why you can not use pinterest or google - Community / Episode Fan Community - Episode Forums (episodeinteractive.com)

Thanks. I actually got it on deviant. I don’t like pinterest because of that reason.

outlines suck, best thing you can do is practice, but no matter how good you get, drawing is always hard, if you keep drawing you get good, I recomand to have a notes book, and maybe sketch a little thing evryday, that is what I do,
