Smart!

Honestly I think these outlines came out great. I personally half-do/rush sketch an outline and when I color it is when the picture’s complete, otherwise it doesn’t really look like much because I can’t trace worth a crap even using the stabilizer. I’m not a pro artist but if you’d like to learn a basic way to color LL hair I can share what I do with you and then you can just add your own twist to it by playing with other colors or brushes.

Here’s an example of mine:

Daymn, that’s good :open_mouth:
If you don’t mind me asking, what is it that magic you do, to color it like that? D:

That looks good though! What I would do is first lock in on the hair outline and use the bucket tool for the base color (the darkest shade for the hair color you want) so you have one solid hair color and then unlock it and create a new layer with a slightly lighter color and use the round brush real coloring the way that you did in that picture over it. I don’t know if that made sense lol I’ll show you what I mean later, it’ll make better sense.
But for darker hair like a black
Using these 3 colors from this color palette.

I pulled the colors from the LL. The base color is the one I mean for the bucket tool and the main color is what I mean for the brush strokes you just did but as a separate layer without locking it so you can sort of hide the outline of it.And then the highlight color on a separate layer for wherever you want to highlight. I’ll show you how to pull the colors too from the LL character so you can create whatever hair color palette. The step by step picture thing will probably make better sense than I just did.
