Background Change within Flashback

Is it possible to have a background change within a choice? I want to show a flashback that only appears in one choice and not the other, so I can’t just merge the choices together.
I attempted to do it like this:

choice (house1)
“Enter the house.” {
NARRATOR
The logical part of my brain reminds me that this is trespassing.
But there is a panic there too.
I can’t lose her again.
Not a second time.
I run towards the house, making sure to avoid the windows.
The panic rises.
I can hear my blood running through my veins.
The wind hurts my ears and they start to ring.
I put a hand up to calm them, and feel blood.
TULIP
What?
NARRATOR
And the world shifts.
EXT. ABANDONED HOME - NIGHT
LILAC
Don’t be a baby, Tu.
No one’s there.
TULIP
I’m not worried about people you idiot.
I’m worried about the building collapsing on us.
LILAC
It won’t!
TULIP

If it does I’m haunting you.
LILAC
Not if I haunt you first.

@fade to
INT. BLACK - NIGHT
NARRATOR
It hurts.
EXT. ABANDONED HOME FIXED - NIGHT
} “Leave.” {
NARRATOR
No. No, this is insane.
I’m going insane.
I need to go back to therapy.
To the doctor.
Lock myself away.
sound body_drop
NARRATOR
Pain.
Pain.
Oh god!
sound scream_female2
NARRATOR
That scream?

It’s me.
}

But the error notice doesn’t recognise the } before “Leave.” Is there a way for me to script this differently so I get the flashback or is that not possible to do?

I don’t think you can end a choice with just a scene change. Try adding
@pause for a beat

Could you please elaborate further? I’m not quite sure what you mean.
But thank you for responding :grinning:

} “Leave.” {

I added a pause after the scene change :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you! That fixed the problem I was having. :smile:
