Background loop overlay probelm

I want this overlay to take up the whole screen when it loops , but it doesn’t work:

INT. STATIC - DAY with TRAINEXTERIOR

@pause for a beat

@overlay 4723358450843648_TRAINEXTERIOR shifts to -36 -13 in zone 1
@overlay 4723358450843648_TRAINEXTERIOR scales to 8.128 8.128

&overlay TRAINEXTERIOR shifts to -1133 312 in 0.5 THEN overlay TRAINEXTERIOR shifts to 49 312 in 0 loop infinite times

overlay:

@Dara.Amarie

I am tagging Dara to help you with your problem.

it didn’t work

should I message dara ?

Hi to make your overlay loop you need to play with it a lot if you do not use the size to use daras templlate.

Basicly it is usually done so you use 2 ovrlays one created from the othher andy you loop them together.the secons is shifted so it starts where the first one ends and with it you fill the gap which you probalby see.

I aso did something like this to atipical overlay size:

&overlay FOREST LOOP create
&overlay FOREST LOOP shifts to 0 243 in zone 1 in 0
&overlay FOREST LOOP scales to 1.253 1.253 in 0
&overlay FOREST LOOP moves to layer 1
&overlay FOREST LOOP opacity 1 in 0
&overlay FOREST LOOP_2 create from FOREST LOOP
&overlay FOREST LOOP_2 shifts to 903 243 in zone 1 in 0
&overlay FOREST LOOP_2 scales to 1.253 1.253 in 0
&overlay FOREST LOOP_2 moves to layer 0
&overlay FOREST LOOP_2 opacity 1 in 0

&overlay FOREST LOOP_2 shifts to 0 243 in zone 1 in 2 THEN overlay FOREST LOOP_2 shifts to 903 243 in zone 1 in 0 loop INFINITE times
&overlay FOREST LOOP shifts to -903 243 in zone 1 in 2 THEN overlay FOREST LOOP shifts to 0 243 in zone 1 in 0 loop INFINITE times

This is my script but it will not work for you because you have for sure different size of the overlay…you simply have to find she right lenght distance between the overlays to make it smooth…mine was as you see 903 pixels…

so what should I do?

do I need to resize the overlay

no you do not need to resize it, you just have try it I did the same it was trying and error till I found the right lenght for the code

If you will not be able to figure it ot than you should use the dara.amarie guide for looping backround and resize the overlay exactly to the size dara has in her template

where can I find the template?

it here in directions and help just look for looping background and it will most likely pop up on you.

she has also web I believe it is there
