Are we allowed to use backgrounds of real life places in our stories? It’s just that I have a few ideas for stories that would require them. One is a story set in Washington D.C. and would require the use of backgrounds important to the American government and american politics. I’d also like to use various backgrounds of towns in the UK for another story. Is this ok?
If it isn’t should I find backgrounds that look similiar and still convey the theme of the story?
I think you can as long as there isn’t anything showing advertisments as that breaches the guidelines.

I’m sure that that’s fine a lot of people use backgrounds like that you just have to make sure that you are free to use it
