Beautiful Urdu Words And Names?

I’m writing a story where one of the main characters comes from Pakistan, and therefore speaks Urdu. But there’s one small problem… I DON’T KNOW ANY URDU!!!

I was going to use Google Translate but then I realised:

  1. Sometimes it’s unreliable, especially when translating sentences.
  2. It translates into the Urdu symbols, whereas I want letters (otherwise I can’t type it into the portal)

I have found one word, “qainaat”, which means universe.

As well as words I would also love names for the character’s family!

I wish I could help, I don’t speak the language, but I can suggest something, if you really don’t have a clue about this language, maybe try a simpler language? One that has letters that you can just copy+ paste from google translate to the portal. eg: Spanish, French, Italian, etc (there are a lot, those are actually the 3 most popular on Episode though) if there’s a language you already speak, use it! Just don’t go to the basically mission impossible ones. Good luck!

I could help I am an Indian and therefore I am very much familiar with Urdu as Hindi also contains many Urdu And Pharsi Words…
