Okay, guys question…Do you think recaps are a good idea or do most of you click thought them without reading them? Do you think there a wast of lines in the script? Or do you think they’re a good idea?
I like recaps in some cases. They should always be optional. Most stories don’t need to save space, unless you’ve got an absolutely masochistic amount of branching.
I’d suggest optional recaps if:
- You last updated more than 3 weeks ago
- Your story is dense and contains lots of minute details that might cause the reader to lose track of important clues
- You’re writing a puzzle/mystery that has an important clue several episodes previous that’s just coming into play now

I dont like them. if you make them at least make them a choice. I can understand if its long since you updated but people will come and have just read what happen and dont wanna read it that

I think you should make it a choice in my opinion, sometimes they’re needed but sometimes they’re not. If you don’t want to make a recap for every episode, maybe you can make recaps for episodes where something really important just happened. If the MC just went to a party or got a bad grade on her test, nothing really happened for there to be a recap
