Binning a Published Friends Story

Hiya!

I’m here to talk about the Friends’ Stories section and Report Story button.

Before publishing my story, I sent the draft to a friend who proofread it. When I officially published the story, my friend decided to remove it from her Friends’ Stories list in hopes to add it to her Favourites instead (see photo reference) …this resulted in the story being reported and her being unable to access the story.

When she now clicks the play button, it just takes her to the episode home page.

After sending a ticket to episode, they explained that once you report a story it can’t be undone.

→ So, from my experience, binning published stories from your Friends’ Stories shelf automatically removes and reports the story – You can not get it back.

I created this topic for feedback and to see if anyone else has had a similar experience?
What happens to the story once you reported it? (can you see it? is is playable?) And have you deleted a published story from your Friends’ Stories shelf: what happened?

I’m sorry this happens to you. As far as I know the stories in Friends’ Stories usually will automatically disappear from that section very fast. The longest is probably a day or two.

And if I’m not mistaken, once we remove a story from that section (select yes) and the story will be removed but it won’t be reported.

Maybe it was a glitch?

Here is a photo and the response she got from episode… I think she clicked remove without realising it’d report the story

For the time being, if a story has been reported or removed in Episode, there is no current feature to bring it back.
The team is working on a way to improve this process in the future and I’m sorry for any trouble this may have caused.

We’ll just have to wait until Episode improve and fix this. Only then your friend can read it.
