Oh thank god
I haven’t been in Spanish class for 2 years now
that momment when black girls have natural big lips, a bigger build, beautiful hair… and then are ripped apart from it, but when Millie the white girl gets lip fillers, a bigger ass and braids in her hair, she is exotic.
I really don’t know how I feel about this, but it goes both ways. Some black people want to be white. We all want to be each other in a sense. I don’t think you can get mad at them, but I will say that they should love themselves the way they are; no matter what skin tone they are.
Bump
They want our rhythm but not our blues…
Today in my English class we are reading to kill a mocking bird
“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view—until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”
This is just purely a curiosity question.
What are you meaning with this?
I mean there are those who don’t seem to understand how “blackfishing” is offense. And that quote just becomes food for thought.
Ah. Mmkay. ^^
The issue is is them wanting to be black and them getting praised for it, like you said. The issue I have with this comment is when you said:
You’re saying it as if we should like it, which no one should. A culture or race being worn as a costume or trend isn’t okay and shouldn’t be seen as such. We aren’t demeaning the fact it happens to other races, it’s still just as bad. Correct me if I am wrong.
Yeah but just because you don’t find it a problem, doesn’t mean other agree it isn’t. Be mindful to how others feel.
So what it is is somewhat what you were talking about some people can be racist, and when other people claim to be black or claim dark skin or claim their box braids or other types of hairstyles, then people think it is all of a sudden trendy, like…it wasn’t cool when the people who pioneered the look were wearing it? It is only cool when other people do it? That’s wrong.
Some people find it insensitive. When people wear these things, it should just be what they wear. If the original people who pioneered the look are being ridiculed for it, it is wrong. If a different culture of people are wearing the same look and being met with praise, that is even wronger.
I personally don’t think humans should try to change themselves or pump poisons in their face to look different. Be who you are and be proud <3 <3
EDIT: LOL says the girl with the dyed hair >.>
I thought you were ^^
I mean, I had to read it a couple times because words are hard, LOL, but that part that you said really stood out to me, so I thought we should elaborate on it more <3
Shaking my head right now …
why are people doing this ?
It’s making me cry of disappointment and laughter at the same time
FREAKIN CHANGING THEIR SKIN INTO A DARKER TONE ! I don’t have an issue with the fact that’s it’s a darker tone but TF?? Tbh those people look beautiful either way
Yes
I agree much agree.
Super hippie/artistic of me, I know, but I think everyone is beautiful >.> XDXD
I have an artistic view of things too from time to time but … Why… Just why …
this is like telling other races they ain’t beautiful.
oh my god
Just when people thought we were getting better at treating everyone equally
