People with dark skin usually lack melanin in their lips, palms, bottom of feet. I wish we had that so my dark skin characters dont end up like the black hand emoji and they look like they have no makeup on.

The all-black hands made sense in INK because it was supposed to look cartoonish, but if Limelight is going to look realistic, best to go all the way.
It’s going to be very difficult, since I don’t think Episode has any framework at the moment to do anything with hands at all (gloves, rings, etc), but I still think it’s something they should look into. 
Edit: It’s hard to count how many hand sprites there are for each sex in Limelight, but my estimate is 100 each, about 50 left and 50 right, and about 50% of those show the palm. When you look really closely, there aren’t many hand sprites used in each animation, they just use movement and other optical tricks to make it look like the fingers are curling and uncurling (super sophisticated, work smarter not harder. I don’t praise Episode a lot, but the way they make the most of a few sprites is fantastic). That’s a lot to recolour. Changing the entire colour for new skin tones is one thing, but the art team would actually have to draw the details in the skin about 50 times (according to my estimate) to make the realistic hands, then recolour that for each skin tone from 4-10… it does get to be a lot. 
I still think they should, though.

I think it’s difficult to make the palms a different color because of all of the angles and hand positions available. Each animation has tons of individual frames that would need different coloring. Episode is trying to do some semi-realism, sure, but it’s still quite glamorized. I wish we could have this, but I simply don’t think it’s possible. Support, though! (Yes, I know this isn’t your post, but I’m replying to you because you made good points)
