Can someone help me with layering?

Hey there! So, I’m doing a scene of which my characters are waiting for a car to pick them up and the car drives down the street, but I’ve seen in some stories that writers have one character behind the overlay and one character in front of the overlay - how do you do that? I’ll be grateful for anyone who answers

HOW TO: Move Characters / Overlays to the Layers

Moving to the layers means something or someone can be in front or behind character or overlay. You can use as many numbers as you want: -100 to 100 (probably even more) CHARACTERS: Commands: @CHARACTER moves to layer # @CHARACTER spot % X Y in zone # at layer # [image] This picture is an example to show how numbers working. How do you do that with overlays though? Is it something like…
@(name of overlay) moves to layer (layer number)?

INT. BACKGROUND with OVERLAY at layer #
(when you want your overlay to be already in the scene)
@overlay OVERLAY to layer #
(when you want to move your overlay in the middle of the scene, works for the beginning of the scene as well)
