You should consider re-uploading it and changing the overlay name. I’ve been told by the Episode Team quite awhile back it’s best to avoid naming in the same format as backgrounds.
You also don’t need “moves to layer” when it comes to overlays, just “to layer #” works fine.

Oh, well if it’s Episode’s overlay, I don’t think it’s supposed to be able to shift.

You can. Not sure where they got that information but you can animate any overlay.

the overlay is already in zone 3 so is that the reason it isn’t working? (I want it to move in zone 3 but to the right)
Can you post a screenshot of your script?
In your previewer, it shows the red car. But in your script, you have the aqua car shifting for both redcar and bluecar flags.

It’s showing a red car for my previewer because I clicked the “red car option” that will let the readers ride in a red car. The red car & the blue car both have the same script
But you don’t have the red car overlay in the “redcar” flag in the if/elif. You have the aqua car for both flags

I’ve seen a lot of people have issues with layering Episode’s overlays that come with backgrounds but I’m not familiar with the names of them since I don’t really use any of their overlays and backgrounds, so I just assumed it might’ve been one of those, but with a shifting issue or something.
When I saw “car” my mind immediately went to those car overlays that normally come with looping backgrounds.
