I can’t say much but I’ve been to Thailand and their culture and food is amazing
It’d be very cool to see it in a story :two_hearts:

The most I could help you is with the food as I’m not fully educated on their culture myself but the people were so fun and enjoyed the experience there

I had create a Thai character in my comic too.You can take reference some thai people from Thai movie and drama.I love Thai culture. .I have friends from that country too.You can make friend with them and ask him/her for some information.Don’t worry,They are friendly and lovely people.

I had a coworker who was from Thailand. She was supperrr funny. She would curse sometimes but it would be out of nowhere which is what made it funny to me and my coworkers. She was very nice and helpful. She was very touchy though, she was not afraid to put her arm around a strangers shoulder. But she was really nice. She would tell me to sit down and relax, not to work too hard. She really was one of the only people I liked at that job. She was older, like around late 40-50. She had a daughter my age (20). She was very hardworking and would still help you out with your work.
I don’t know what you could do with that besides adding some character development. But I hope this helps!

Well, I don’t know. I am writing a LI and LI’s sister who are Thai and I want my MC(not Thai) to learn about their culture little by little. So I don’t know…

I’m glad you chose to present a south east asian culture which is rarely represented on this platform. I’d love to help and read your story when it’s out! :purple_heart:
I want to know where does your story take place? If you want to present about the culture, maybe make them a buddhist and inviting mc to visit some temples or cooking thai food together :thinking:

Thank you! It won’t be out for a while because it’s a story I am writing on the side and I’ll publish it once my other story gets to at least 10 or 15 chapters(it’s a 3 right now).

It takes place in a made up country called Lorania and they are at war with another made up country named Erden. The Thai characters(Ti and Sukanda) live in Erden and will later in the story date 2 characters from Lorania.

Ooh! Yes! I was thinking of making their mom(Ti’s and Sukanda’s mom) a doctor. And Kimberly(MC) will meet hi, during the war and decide to not shoot him and his sister.

I was thinking when Kimberly and Ti start dating, she sneaks over to Ti’s house and he cooks Thai food and she notices his Buddhist staues. (Though I don’t know much about either, hence why I made the topic}.

Your story sounds interesting! I’ll give some brief info that there are different types of Buddhism and in Thailand it’s -Theravada Buddhism- the ideology of buddhism is a peace, not involve in any drastic situation. Many Buddhist believe in karma, some don’t. All Buddhists live by five moral precepts, which prohibit:

  • Killing living things
  • Taking what is not given
  • Sexual misconduct
  • Lying
  • Using drugs or alcohol

Not every buddhist is religious and if someone did some of those, no one’s gonna hunt them down unless it cause any trouble to other people. Or they believe karma will get them soon.
