I have a question:
So I found a lot of really nice backgrounds on Pinterest that I would like to use in my story, but I don’t know if we are allowed to use backgrounds from there. I uploaded a few to my backgrounds and episode approved them. Is it okay to use backgrounds as long as episode approves them?
I want to make sure because the backgrounds on Pinterest don’t have any rules that say to credit or not and I want to make sure I’m not copywriting.
I also tried finding some on episodelife.com and other websites that people recommended, but I couldn’t really find what I was looking for.
If anyone knows, please let me know.

Hi! You’re not allowed to use backgrounds from Pinterest as majority of them are copyrighted. Unless you do thorough research and find out who the owners are and get permission from them.
I know it sucks. And episode usually approves backgrounds as long as it doesn’t look obvious that it’s copyrighted (watermarks and logos).
My best advice would be to use backgrounds that people have made for episode or use free sites such as pixabay and unsplash

Actually no. A lot of them tend to be copyrighted. Unless you can track down the actual creator of a background and they give you permission you shouldn’t use anything from there

Exactly! However, even tracking down the original content creator can be hard as there tend to be multiple people who repost. So it mighhhhtttt take a while.

Not if they’re copyrighted, which most are. You would need to track down the original owner.
