Can you use overlays from google?

Technically yes, but I suppose in some way it can be plagiarizing because you’re using someone else’s stuff. But everybody does that

So it should be fine. Don’t think it will be plagiarizing

No you cannot. It could have a copyright claim on it, plus, it’s not yours

@Apes can you help us?

Hm. Okay. Well everyone has their opinions.

For me, you CANT use images from google. Images are copyrighted. You can only find overlays from public domain sites that are free to use. Joseph Evans did a video about this. Hm, and pintrest.

It’s okay, I wasn’t either. I did make a mistake about this before, and now I know about it. It’s okay to know and ask about this kind of stuff. :wink:

BOOKMARKING THE THREAD! So, I can remind myself. :wink:

Trust me, I’ve did this before, and I’m like…“oh wow”.

I’ve heard from bigger authors before that you can and have used overlays from google so i was
very surprised that you couldn’t

ikr, I was to.

This is honestly such a tough subject. But I think I agree where you really don’t want to copyright. So my best advise is be careful!!

If you go to Google Images > Tools > Usage Rights you can make sure nothing you get is copyrighted
