CC at the start or ending?

Hi! I was wondering what people prefer, so voting this poll would really help me out:)

I personally think at the end so people can play a bit with the original features and only change something they really don’t like if they want.

Do you prefer CC at the end or start of the first chapter? (Or you don’t have a preference)
  • At the start.
  • At the end.
  • No preference.
  • I don’t CC either way.

(idk if this will make sense, but here it goes anyways!)

Personally, I think it’s cool when the author incorporates CC into the scenes! Like let’s say the MC is looking in the mirror talking about how bad she thinks she looks, then bam! CC template

CC transitions like that I feel work really smoothly and keep the reader engaged more!

Yeah, that’s true.

I just honestly have no idea where to put it, at least with the LI’s

LIs maybe after the reader sees their personality

Tbh I like when the CC is more towards the end of a chapter because it just helps me get a better understanding of the character’s personality, but that’s just my preference.

Towards the end of a chapter or a few chapters, honestly actually gets me invested (most of the time) in the characters including the way they look so I don’t end up changing them often a “____ looks this way and if I change them, then they won’t be _____ anymore.” sort of thing. But if it’s at the beginning, then I seize the opportunity to CC without giving how the characters originally look any real thought.

I enjoy stories with either though, so it doesn’t really matter to me from a reader POV. It could be of more importance to the author instead, whether they care or not if ppl CC.
