Do you think cc is good but you can’t choose the name? Because I think the name is important but I really don‘t know if I also should let the readers cc.

Who is the reader playing as?
You could give like 3 options for the name to the reader if you feel like they should somehow choose it.

I think you should do what you want for your story 
Personally, I would prefer if I couldn’t pick the name - even in my own story I haven’t allowed an option to pick names
I kind of prefer CC without the name. Choosing a name means I have to decide whether to insert myself or not and tbh, a self-insert story can be dangerous if you have a heavy story planned. I’d advise you to consider what the main themes of your story are. If you plan on putting the MC through hell and back, or if you are planning to include scenes that might be triggering, it’s better to avoid the full blown name-CC
