Plot #: L.O.V.E. T.R.I.A.N.G.L.E.
Muse A is looking for the perfect extracurricular to cap off their school experience and it just so happens that there’s one spot open on the cheer-leading squad. The only problem, apart of Muse A’s total lack of natural ability, is that the squad is super competitive when it comes to picking new members. Muse B, a former friend of Muse A who’s been on the squad for 2 years already is Muse A’s only shot of getting anywhere near ready for tryouts in just a few weeks, so Muse A swallows their pride and begs Muse B for help to impress the rest of the cheerleaders. It’s hard work memorizing complex routines and stretching muscles Muse A didn’t think were possible to stretch, but spending valuable practice time with Muse B after school and on weekends starts to pay off. As an added bonus, Muse A and Muse B start to rebuild their friendship, which went sideways when they entered high school for some reason.
Muse A is optimistic as tryouts approach, but the closer they get to D day the more Muse C (Muse B’s significant other and star athlete) invites themselves to practice sessions. It’s uncomfortable for Muse A to be shaking their ‘pom-poms’ in front of Muse C, considering Muse A’s crushed on Muse C from afar for several years but Muse A tries to be discreet about it. One afternoon when Muse B isn’t able to make it for practice, they send Muse C as a stand-in and things get even more awkward. Muse C is more ‘hands-on’ than Muse A anticipates and Muse C confess their growing attraction to Muse A. When Muse C sees an opportunity to make a move, they seize it and Muse A doesn’t stop them (at least not right away). Now Muse A must decide whether a fling with Muse C is worth upsetting their chances of acing tryouts and risking the friendship they’ve just started to repair with Muse B.
. Plot 1::They’re Just Girls (based on Girls by the 1975)
Muse A is young and naïve, always looking for trouble. They finally find it with Muse B, an older, cooler type that they encounter somewhere they have no business being with their fake ID. Muse B is attracted to Muse A on a physical level, but once Muse A’s age reveals itself, Muse B lays down the harsh truth: they’re not interested in anything beyond a one night stand and they’re definitely not what Muse A needs (and vice versa). Reluctant to let the opportunity to be with Muse B slip away, Muse A convinces Muse B to take them home. Lust clouds Muse B’s judgment and they let Muse A spend the night. In the heat of the moment, when the chemistry is so obviously there, Muse B says all the things Muse A wants to hear. Once it’s all over, however, Muse B’s attitude toward Muse A hasn’t changed–but Muse A doesn’t believe it’s a hopeless cause. Much to Muse B’s dismay, Muse A starts coming around to their place, hanging with their friends, finding little ways to push into their life in the hopes of showing Muse B how good they’d be together despite their difference in age. Muse B insists that their relationship will never be; yet Muse B can’t help sending mixed signals when they continue to fall into bed with Muse A. . [i would like to play muse A]
Plot 2:Joy Ride
Muse A has been sheltered for most of their upbringing, coddled by loving but overprotective parents well into their teenage years. They’ve yet to experience most of the milestones that their same-age peers take for granted, like attending a school dance or getting their driver’s license. The only time that Muse A isn’t under the watchful eye of their parents is when they’re at school and even then, they’re under strict orders to come straight home once that dismissal bell rings. Muse B hasn’t resided with a parent/guardian since they were legally able to live on their own. They didn’t come from a nurturing environment, not even close, but they’re not looking for a pity party about it. Muse B fends for themselves in this world and they’ve earned a bit of a reputation for snubbing their nose at authority at every opportunity.
Muse A encounters Muse B one afternoon as they’re making their way to the bus. Muse A can’t help but stare with envy as Muse B mounts their motorcycle—able to ride off whenever and wherever they please. Muse B catches Muse A staring and they offer Muse A a ride. Muse A accepts, hastily snatching up their first little taste of freedom. Which starts muse As little hidden romance. [idc which I play]

One night, Muse A’s significant other makes plans with an old friend from school–a double date for dinner. Muse B knew Muse A’s lover in high school; they were close friends until one of them moved across the country for college. The couples meet at a fancy restaurant and the old friends catch up over drinks and appetizers. The whole while, Muse A can’t help but notice that their lover’s old friend is making eyes at them across the table. Thrilled by the idea that another person finds them desirable, when their own partner hardly seems to anymore, Muse A makes a bold move–sliding their foot against Muse B’s leg beneath the table. The seductive act is received by Muse B with a subtle smirk and a light nod of approval. By the time entrees are served, Muse A and Muse B manage to slip out of the restaurant for a quick encounter. They make their way back to the table and act as normally as possible, adrenaline pumping through their veins over the bad thing they’ve done and can’t wait to do again. Plans are eagerly made for another dinner date while Muse A and Muse B are already thinking of how they can raise the stakes. [i would like muse a]

Muse A and Muse B have such deep/meaningful/enjoyable conversations that they resolve to start meeting each other to talk once a week.

A doctor on staff directs Muse B to Muse A, explaining that Muse A is very much alert, but does not respond to anyone that attempts to interact with them. The doctor suggests that Muse B sit with Muse A on the next day, perhaps reading them a novel or telling stories in the hopes that a fresh face who is neither staff nor patient will garner a positive response. Muse B signs in the following day with a copy of their favorite book in hand and sits at Muse A’s side to read. Muse A does not respond for days on end, but one afternoon they finally make eye contact with Muse B, the hint of a smile on their features, looking forward to continuing the story. Muse B is overwhelmed by the small gesture, suddenly hit by the realization that in spite of Muse A’s complete and utter silence, they have grown incredibly fond of them. As the novel progresses, so does the connection between volunteer and patient. Only when the last page has been read aloud does Muse A finally speak to Muse B.
Muse B confesses their feelings to Muse A, who reciprocates and in turn informs Muse B of the reason for their admittance to the hospital. Muse B promises to stand by Muse A, no matter what happens.[ [i would like muse a]
Plot 8 : Track Nine (chance encounter plot)
Muse A takes the train to get to work/school every day. They usually read a book or listen to music during the commute since they’re travelling for at least an hour. Muse A is seated on the train when Muse B gets on one afternoon. The only spot vacant in the car is right next to Muse A, so Muse B sits there. Muse A and Muse B share a quick glance and polite smile, but nothing more as the train doors close as the ride continues. Muse A is listening to their mp3 player and humming softly (or loudly), allowing Muse B to recognize the song that they’re listening to. Muse B happens to like that song a lot and is about to ask Muse A who the artist is when the train stops and more people get on.
The car gets packed and it’s difficult for Muse B to talk over the other commuters, let alone spot Muse A though they’re still seated right beside each other. When the crowd clears out 2 stops later, Muse A gets off the train, but their mp3 player accidentally gets left behind on the seat. Muse B quickly scoops it up, not wanting anyone to swipe it and they rush to the doors as they close, unable to get to muse A who they can see heading up the steps to exit the subway. Muse B decides to get off at the next stop, hoping that they can catch Muse A if they run the few blocks back to the previous station. When Muse B arrives at the station, out of breath, Muse A is nowhere to be found. Muse B goes off to their destination, holding Muse A’s mp3 player in safe keeping. When Muse B gets home, they can’t help their curiosity and they take a listen through some/all of Muse A’s songs. Muse B is amazed to discover a lot of music that they like on Muse A’s playlists. They’re even more amazed when they hear track # 9 [insert any favorite song]; Track # 9 is Muse B’s absolute favorite song (and coincidentally the track line that the train runs on).
The next day/a few days later, when Muse B gets on the train again, they bump into Muse A. Muse B returns the mp3 player and takes a chance, starting up a conversation with Muse A about the music on it.

Plot 9: By the Seashore (loosely adapted from the Little Mermaid)
Muse A has always loved the ocean. When Muse A was a little kid, their father used to take them to the beach nearly every day during the summer and they’d swim and collect sea shells along the shoreline. Having nothing but fond memories from their youth, Muse A decides to become a lifeguard at that very beach this summer. One afternoon, Muse A notices Muse B struggling in the surf. Muse A springs into action to save Muse B, pulling them to dry land and resuscitating them. It’s not until Muse B begins to awaken that their significant other appears and shoos Muse A out of the way. Muse A falls back and returns to their lifeguard post, allowing Muse B’s companions to lead Muse B away. A few weeks later, Muse B returns to the beach alone, catching Muse A’s attention. Muse A tries to introduce his/herself to Muse B but they become painfully shy and are unable to speak to Muse B. Muse B gets the impression that Muse A can’t speak at all, so Muse B picks up the slack in conversation, while Muse A just smiles and nods along. They spend the whole day together, admiring the sea. Muse B tells Muse A about their near-death experience, not realizing that Muse A was the one who saved them from drowning. Muse B believes that it was their significant other who saved them because that’s what the significant other reported, and because of this false account, Muse B has decided to stay in the relationship that hasn’t been working for the last few months. Muse A is let down by this admission, but feels as if it’s pointless to tell the truth now.
Over the next few days, Muse B returns to the beach to spend time with Muse A, who starts to talk a bit but not tell the truth to keep up the rouse. Muse A coaxes Muse B to get back in the water with them and once they’re heading back to shore, they share an unplanned kiss. Muse B feels guilty about it afterward because of their significant other and suggests that they just stay friends. The more Muse B talks about their significant other, the more jealous Muse A becomes and the more obvious it is that they’ll lose Muse B if they continue to keep their mouth shut about what really happened the day Muse B nearly drowned. When Muse A speaks to Muse B and B lurts out the truth, Muse B is shocked. Muse B doesn’t believe Muse A, (how can they after Muse A’s been lying about being able to speak this whole time?). Muse B accuses Muse A of trying to manipulate them and ruin their relationship, then says that they can’t see each other anymore. As the summer stretches on and Muse B stays away as promised, Muse A worries that they’ll never see Muse B again.

Late one night, Muse B picks up the phone and dials Muse A, simply wanting to hear their voice. Muse A is shocked and hesitant to speak with Muse B considering their significant other is sleeping in bed in the next room, but is unable to hang up, emotions running high. The calls continue nightly in secret. After several conversations, both agree they need closure to move on, and decide to meet in person. [idc which]

They start talking and Muse B explains that he/she follows the band/musician and this is the 4th concert they’ve seen on this tour. It’s only 50 miles out of town and they have a spare ticket. After giving it some thought, Muse A realizes they might not have an awesome opportunity like this again and this could be exactly what they need to get over their ex, so they agree to go with Muse B and they follow the tour route together.
