This is probably super basic - I was just wondering if you have someone with say a door open how you change the scene so the door is shut without the characters disappearing and the scene reopening
Yeah, all you need to do is find the background with the door shut and withit open.
Keep note of where your character(s) are.
Ex.
INT. BACKGROUND NAME DOOR CLOSED - DAY
@CHAR stands screen center
Blah blah blah
INT. BACKGROUND NAME DOOR OPEN - DAY
@Char stands screen center
Blah blah blah

Yeah that makes sense I’ve just had trouble in the past with changing the background and then the character disappears then reappears during the transition x

@transition fade out black
BACKGROUND
add characters
@transition fade in black
But I feel like you already knew that!
