If you aren’t using customisation then just change it like you changed the hairstyle in the first place and if you do use customisation should use previews hair then unpreviews hair.

exactly you can also use
@CHARACTER changes hair into (hair name)
and if you don’t use if elif and else you can have the hair before you changed it in the next chapter because it doesn’t remember the choice
