I’ve seen some stories that have character portraits (just the face) attached to speech bubbles, instead of the full-body avatars, but I can’t figure out how to do it myself. Does anyone know the script for this format? An example would be the B-Team by MeMyselfAndI.

Assuming that I understood what you meant, may be scale the character up to fit just their portrait/face in the screen.
Or do you mean spotlight directing where half their body is shown?

If you’re talking about The B-Team specifically, he’s using overlays.

So how would you go about doing something similar? I definitely prefer that sort of format to the standard full-body.
