Before the new year rings where I’m currently vacationing at, I thought I’ll post up an inquiry to release some negativity from 2018. It’s the year that I started to ‘gem-farm’ official stories as well as rant at the top of my lungs off some things Episode released over the years and months. A common thing connecting certain gripes comes down to the Characters and How they interact with others. Here I’m going to list down the more notable ones which piqued my insert negative emotion over time playing.
Hayes Grier
I think his story Hollywood Days is the second celeb project after/during the Demi Lovato trilogy. Honestly, he has a decent portrayal in this story, even as the ‘OMG weird’ whose wholesome personality translate 100% to their celebrity persona celeb type of LI. I Guess it was just it’s just weird that he gets a generic drama-filled ex backstory in contrast to his happy-go-lucky character. Or it’s the fact he is shown as a much bigger personality getting in Hollywood gigs than his real-life clout. One thing’s for sure: his face is ugly as heck!
Ellis from Troublemaker
This girl is just plain delusional border-line Mean Girl all over. If this story didn’t already had a near-meaningless Mean Girl (Lola), I’m wouldn’t be surprised Ellis was supposed to be one! She is that boy-and-party-dependent character, but what makes her stand out is how possessive and unreasonable she slowly becomes after hooking up with the bad boy. For instance, at one chapter during the carnival she cried and begged the Student Council President to replace MC at one of the booths so she wouldn’t be near Bad Boy, even though MC ended up instead working at the Kissing Booth. Ellis is also the loudest of people to blame MC for all the drama and not be self-aware.
*Max Stone* from Love and War
Where can I start with him? At least 95% of his appearances makes him unbearable, especially when him and MC get together after their parents divorced. He expresses nothing but hate, annoyance and lust and cannot resolve anything without some sort of confrontation. The story expects the reader to get to know him better with gem choices, which so far is that his parents might have influenced his stupid views on love. I just don’t get why at this point he still has friends and his parents haven’t kicked him out of their house before. Even those scenes with them, there was little nuance to his perpetual attitude to them, so I couldn’t feel sorry for him when, for example, his mom was trying her best to keep a better eye on him. All in all, any thing that makes a decent leading man in a romance, Max just swerves from that.

A feel like most of the characters in Official stories aren’t really flushed out to begin with, but the MC in It Starts With a Bra… she’s so corny and ridiculious.
Just report him to the school. Also, how would anyone even really know it’s YOUR bra?
God, the official stories are just so bad… I could barely even stand to suffer through The Kiss List and It Started With A Bra (hint with that one: making Alex a girl doesn’t make them anymore bearable, it just makes the plot less creepy). I only read like 2-3 episodes of each.
Oooh! I used to love troublemaker when I was younger (I even read the wattpad book!) Ellis was such a UGH! Then she got pregnant with Tyler’s baby!? Trust me, when you read the book. She’s WAY worse! Ngl, it was also MC’s fault when she saw Ellis kissing Brody because MC wasn’t even dating him and she was immediately pissed. Even Amy told her but she was just like “No, she’s still a bitch!” so they’re both in the wrong.
Nathan and Ethan from Love Life. I’m glad that Liam came to whisk me away to Belize so I don’t have to worry about their b.s. Nathan was way too raunchy, his personality is stale, and he literally went on tour most of the story. How can I fall in love with you if you f*cking disappear? Than Ethan KNEW he had a girlfriend, yet was trying to go over the line you shouldn’t cross with MC. Then, when it’s literally too late, and I’m ready to go off to another country with my millionaire beau, he comes up at my friend’s engagement party like “I love you though .” Boy, if you don’t…
Edit: Austin and Liam were the only decent love interests. I which there were female LIs and surprisingly, Love Life was a featured story that I actually kind of like (even with the cliches).
I actually enjoyed Love Life too. But I felt like the relationships with Noah and Liam were way too fast-paced. But I guess that’s par the course for Episode.
I just met Noah he wrote a song about how “I changed everything” for him? As for Liam…after my best friend gets proposed to he’s like “I hope I can make you that happy someday.” We’ve only known each other for a few days. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves lol.
I think Austin was the best Love Interest, and I wish he got a bit more screentime.
EDIT: The worst thing about this story though, were the gem choices.
After the stuff she said about us, I wanted to too. Like, everything I have done for you. It doesn’t matter if you were the one that helped me with the contest, I have done more and yet you throw shade? Smh. And she wanted me to feel bad.
I don’t remember it. I can only remember the first season despite reading all of them multiple times. First one was good and other ones didn’t live up to expectations
