Characters in background during scene (club)?

So when my MC enters the scene I want to know how to have the club crowded with characters doing their own thing.

Is it the
&CHARACTER spot things that I have to use?
Is there an easier way to do this?
Or any short cuts, advice?
If so do tell.

I only know how to do &CHATACTER1 to spot x y to z AND CHARACTER 1 is drink AND CHARACTER 2 to spot x y to z AND CHARACTER 2 is dance_hands_up

but I would recommend asking @Apes

@Ash.M you can always use script templates. Check Instagrams of groups (such as episode.luxe or episode.advice) or check Post your script templates here! Official script template sharing thread

but if you want to do it on your own yes, use & to place characters
