How do you feel about stories without choices? Or ones with minor ones that don’t impact the story? Drop your opinions below!
Not a fan of stories with 0 choices. I have only read them when I was doing reviews for people. Minor choices that don’t have an impact on the story are perfectly fine. They’re a lot of fun, too.
I don’t care too much.
if I like the plot and the directing is good, I actually prefer stories with little to no choices
I agree with @reyshell. If I like the storyline, the directing and the plot I don’t mind reading it, even when it has no choices.
Happy Birthday @AngelWings1983
I read them sometimes, like I once read a story by Lucas called Debby Gold, it was funny, I enjoyed it and it had no choices
I’m reading a story right now with almost no choices at all, and it’s like, my favorite story right now, so it really depends on the story
Thank you!!!
tbh I like both kinds- but only if they’re well-written. Narrative drama-like stories with no choices like “Iridescent” or “Forever Yours” are done really well even if they don’t really have choices, but they’re still some of my favorites.
To be honest if the story is good it doesn’t matter. I mean I read this story (Oh my Ghost) where there’s no customisation for MC but the story was very good.
Heck the first 30chapter were quite entertaining till the climax part hit.
There were few choices but it didn’t affected the story. So as long as one got good plot I don’t think choices matter.
I like choiceless stories if there’s an interesting plot, well-developed characters, and correct grammar/spelling (sorry I just have specific taste
)
Thank you for all sharing your thoughts!
Nuh-uh
I typically don’t even realize if the story doesn’t have choices till I’m done with it lol. Choices with a significant impact stress me out a lot…I just enjoy reading the story exactly as the author intended it, whether it includes choices or not
I don’t mind if stories have choices or don’t. There are a lot of people who will read without choices but try to make it somewhat interactive for them. Some might call it mindless tapping if it doesn’t have choices but if you think about it, really it is just like a book. You don’t make choices for the character then. People might use the excuse of “But it is an interactive reading app, I want choices” while that might be the case I think it doesn’t matter since I have read many well written stories without choices. If you make use of other aspects of directing and story telling you will be fine without. Using filters, zooms etc and if your story is good people won’t care. Again there will always be an audience for your story. Some people don’t like choices at all, so you can appeal. Choices don’t matter to me unless they are timed, it puts pressure on me and I read to get rid of that pressure I am going through in my real life. Since I am indecisive a choices free story might actually be good for me and there will be others that are the same. Do what is best for you.
For stories with no choices, if the plot is compelling, I like 'em! I can’t stand stories with irrelevant choices, however. Like, why are you there?
Most of the time I actually prefer stories without choices. I like not having a say in the outcome because then I’m able to be surprised. I tend to always pick similar choices in different stories, often giving away a part of how it’s going to end which eventually can become a little boring.
I do, however, enjoy stories where choices matter and affect the outcome, though I don’t see a lot of them anymore
i have no problem with no choices in stories. same goes for minor choices. if I like the plot I will read it.
They usually come out really good, it’s like watching a tv show except I tap through it lol.
Happy Birthday

!!!
Thank you!!
