Choices From One Chapter Affecting The Other?

Hey! So, I wanted to make the choices that the reader made in chapter x affect chapter y without the reader having to make the choices all over again in chapter y.
Does anyone know how to do that?

So if a reader gained a flag in chapter x how exactly do we incoperate that in chapter y? Will the system just remember?
