I would like to add to my story that the reader can choose their dating preference. do I need to write to story’s for this, or is there also another way?

It is very simple,
You copy the template into your portal, you can choose to have both versions of your LI on screen if you set the scene before the start of the template. Then in the template in tells you where to put your storyline for each gender. Under that you type up your storyline for your female LI then you can paste in under where it tells you to put your male storyline then change the names and pronouns and if you need an example I can send you an example if you PM me.
