Yeah someone earlier also mentioned having too many ‘best friends’. Then when you add 0 personality to them they can become a drone on the story.
“What’s wrong MC?”
“The bad boy gangster rapper mafia leader teacher player best friend of my brother did enter stupid problem here”
Every episode bff : “Omg no way! Let’s do some shopping where we’ll bump into your cute childhood bff/go to a party that will happen to have the cute good boy/ go to a bar - to take your mind of it. Come on it’ll be good for you.”
I swear I’ve read that about 1000 times

This honestly turns me off from so many stories that I otherwise liked 
I liked Becoming Queen Bee until the hot and cold silliness between mc and li.
Same thing that ruined Legend of Korra (tv show) for me.

Not sure if this is how the story ends at all, but I actually made an early prediction:
Maybe the villainess somehow manages to tell all the people you kissed of your doings! They realize it’s for a bet, and then they turn of you and the evil girl wins the bet… Or so it seems, because the true love interest discovers some sort of dirt you can get with diamonds, or you face her alone with the LI. In that situation, everyone loves you again and the evil girl is demoted to toilets.
If that’s similar to how it ended, I’m gonna scream.

I feel so bad for Episode, their stories are too predictable now…
I was never able to guess the story endings for Classic (beautiful plots) or even Ink (beginning of the end),
But for some reason, I can guess all of Limelight’s endings…
And 50% of the time, my predictions are right.

Noooooo way! Wow. That’s disgraceful, I’d really like some comformation on that actually I’m gonna do some research.
Regardless episode has become a bank of clichés and retold stories with a few scattered hidden gems in between.
So I propose we start a movement, I beg of all of you if anyone asks you to review a story idea or you even begin to write one yourself add you, your personality and uniqueness into the story. Help bring newer original stories to the platform.
Episode has changed in such a way that a lot if stories are no longer about writing but about the quantity of readers who read it instead of the quality of the story. #EpisodeQualityOverQuantity

a new kind of Cliche
the art scene. it is overused. every day there are ten new forums of people asking for art scenes. saying they need it. they dont. if you really need an art scene. pay for it.

yes, it’s amazing here is so many nice people who do it for free. and all they want is credit, which is the least you can do cause this artist take time out of there life there could be used on something else. for you for free. and I dont say they should stop doing it. it’s their choice. and an art scene can be fine for a very important scene you are not able to do with the characters. but many people have the I need a bunch of art scenes
it annoyed me, even more, when the story asking for art scene suck. and not just story-wise i mean if you can’t even spot your character then why do think your story deserves an art scene
an art scene brings nothing to the story. it just a picture I look at for a few seconds. or you use it for a bunch of narration
and the people asking for the never give any information they just ask for an art scene. without saying for what. listen they are already wasting time doing the art for free. dont make them waste more time by getting you to tell them what it is you are looking for
it any me most because people get the idea they can just ask for art. while there is a lot of artists who live of there art a keep getting messages from people who think they are entitled to free art
I am actually an artist and i wanted to do my own scenes for my story but the way it I so overused I have diced no. I am happy if I never have to see an art scene again

I’m so glad someone said this. I appreciate some of the talented artists that authors feature. I think people deserve recognition for their craft.
But, I feel like it doesn’t add to the story, it doesn’t leave room for my imagination of the story, and it makes me uncomfortable.
Often, these authors use these art scenes to create a scene episode’s feature won’t allow, or to describe a character. These scenes are often accompanied by painfully long narrations that don’t have much of an impact on the storyline. And even if it does, the art scene wasn’t completely necessary.
Stories with art scenes typically have limited customization, and more times than not, the characters are white. What I enjoy most about the app is my ability to insert myself into a story. Stories like this take this opportunity away from me. I know it’s the author’s vision, but if I wanted to read a story where the character’s appearance was locked in, I’d read one of the many books in my house. These features I’m locked into also have no impact on the storyline , they just match the art scenes. No mention of how they have their father’s eyes, or how much they look like their mother or even their actual heritage. They look this way so you can stay committed to an art scene you can’t opt out of.
Art scenes also make me uncomfortable because if it’s not about the character’s appearance, it’s about either a moment of sexual tension or sex itself. But there’s something about the way Episode authors write about sex makes my skin crawl. And that’s saying something, because I am by no means a prude, and it takes a lot for me to feel uncomfortable.
I went on my own tangent, but I think some authors are asking for art scenes because they have a vision for their story, and an art scene would fullfill it. However, the fact that they give little detail on what they want tells me that they don’t even know themselves what it would add to the story, if at all.

You took all of what i try to say and said it thanks sooo much and ur other comment about them just being used to promote sexual moments and more often the cringey long ass text box -.-. I am a black girl x3 when the story lets me CC(fully) and then an art scene pops up it breaks the illusion tht im playing as tht MC. These art scene characters never look like “you”(Black ppl or other POC) they are beautiful though still dont include CC or Partial(dunno y thts a thing) if u have an art scene seems unecssary u already have a MC in mind

Yep! I am also black, and I almost always recreate myself when there is full CC. I feel like if you’re going to give me that opportunity, you should take the art scenes out.
It really does shatter the illusion when I make myself (black girl with a flat nose and all) and then I’m suddenly pulled into an art scene with a white girl with long blonde hair, tiny nose and lips.

ik its the authors vision but if u do CC at least take the art scenes out(like u said) i hate when u read a story then BAM in ur face art scene of the white girl and her lover together…i use episodes and like to self insert too so…
Disclaimer: no im not saying its wrong to use white ppl in art scenes. However be mindful that if u give full CC there are millions of different looks and ppl out there
