Cliche stories can definitely be well written, too! There were quite a few mafia stories I liked that didn’t glamorize problematic themes.

Try to write down a summary of how you believe you act and present yourself to others. Then try to answer the questions to the best of your best of abilities about stereotypes, “falling into the status quo,” Episode stereotypes, and how you would change them.

Okay imma try…

How I believe people see me at first is the happy go lucky girl who always has a smile… I know what I am… not what I’ll one day be. I have lots of insecurities that I never open up about. I have beautiful dark brown I eyes that for some reason I used to hate. And I can’t open up to people cuz “I’m not good enough, to waist there time”. Have I ever opened up, yes has it backfired… 92% of the time yes. And to say the least about “falling into the status quo” yes I have. Did I regret it… every time.

I strongly disagree with the stereotype of if you’re religious you are “brainwashed” or because I’m a christian I “go to a cult” those are both things that have been said to my face and rumors have been spread that I hate anybody who is part of the LGBTQ+ community someone also said that my mom and I wanted to stone them which is not true at all

like actually thanks for making this I just got a lot off my chest

I strongly disagree with that stereotype too! It’s one that also doesn’t get addressed a lot, so thank you for bringing it up.

In Episode or real life what are the types of stereotypes you dislike? Why?
If I’m going to be honest, I hate the gender stereotypes with a passion (I don’t mean to sound like a complainer).
The stereotypes like: “Girls love it when…” or “Boys don’t want…” for relationships or friendships or just people in general because it doesn’t speak for me. It also doesn’t speak for the people who are still trying to find their identity and who they want to be.
Gender stereotypes make it difficult for people to be who they want to be, and it puts a label on everything.
Just because some girls loved food doesn’t make me a stereotypical food obsessed person who gets moody without it?
It’s also the reason for toxic masculinity. People don’t think that the reason why 100% of the school shooters in America are boys because they are INT supposed to be “soft” or talk about their feelings. This toxic masculinity and stereotype on boys make them choose to hold in their thoughts and feelings, making them choose not to be open when it’s healthy to be open.
Especially in episode stories, the boy is alwaysssss cold-hearted and rude. Shuts out people and is considered “soft” when he is just being a gentlemen. It’s soft to be a gentleman with decent respect? It’s ridiculous and toxic especially for the people who are still trying to find themselves.
What would you change about them?

It’s not a man to be cold and disrespectful. You are not a “man” if you choose to defy rules or discriminate women because you think you’re stronger?
These men in stories are NOT men
Any respectful or decent person just knows their boundaries.
A woman doesn’t need a man to be strong? An individual doesn’t need anyone other than the people who truly care about them and see them for THEM.
If stories could portray RESPECT, maybe there wouldn’t be toxic and harmful stereotypes.
People wonder why are these stereotypes harmful? Well maybe it’s because these stereotypes put people in a box.
Gender stereotypes does not define everyone. Just because it defines some ignorant people DOESNT mean it’s for everyone. If stories could just show respect, it would be beneficial for everyone especially those who are still growing
