CLOTHING: Option to Purchase Exclusive Clothing

Hello Episodian Family!!!

( Images posted above are used only as an example of clothing that is not available for the Community. )

Every Thursday our community anxiously awaits for the release of new items to use in our stories. And inevitably there will be disappointed members who would have liked to receive various items that had not been released. There is even a Dedicated Wish List where community members will post images of the items that they would like to be released in the following Update for free.

And then I got to thinking … What if Episode offered Community Members the opportunity to purchase exclusive clothing to use as they write their stories??? This would be a paid option outside or separate from:

Gem Packs
Bundles
or
VIP Memberships

With this new paid option, Episode would provide these members with exclusive clothing that would not at any point become available for free for the Community. The paid option would provide exclusive clothing specifically for their choice of character. Meaning, if you select to purchase the exclusive clothing for Plus Female/ Generic Female or Generic Male, then you will have clothing options specifically for the gender / body type you have selected. I was just thinking that for the Episodians who would like to pay for exclusive clothing for their character, opposed to relying solely on receiving the free update options provided to the entire Community… they may be happier with this type of option. To be clear… this is an option to purchase exclusive clothing that will not ever be released to the Community for the free updates. If people are not satisfied with waiting and receiving the free updates, they can purchase exclusive clothing options.

Support! I would never purchase it myself but those who are impatient and want certain options before release. It would be a good idea for them but episode having to create more options that can’t be bought so people continue to read their stories. So a selected amount in a exclusive pack.

I will not spend a single DIME … but there are many other people who complain every week… and I just figured , this may be a viable option for them!!! Your idea about an exclusive pack is PERFECT

Support! I personally wouldn’t be able to buy it but I’m sure others will! Btw I’ve just got one question so would you be able to buy clothing that have been gem choices in the past so couldn’t be put into the wishlist or would it just be clothing that was seen but wasn’t released yet?

And I understand that there are people that would not be able to purchase this option. But you also pose a great question. The items that are being purchased should absolutely be exclusive items that would never be provided for free in any of the updates. It would be great if the items are gem exclusive items that can be purchased, but if Episode does not want to allow the Community to purchase the gem exclusive items from stories that we have already read and that are already available… then they would need to provide exclusive items specifically released only for people who have paid for the option. Not items that will be released eventually to the entire community for free.

the only problem with that would be that many the authors would do the same thing episode does and charge gems their readers in order to unlock them

I understand everything you are talking about. I myself would not pay for exclusive items… but I believe that this option would absolutely appeal to people who want more exclusive items and are tired of being disappointed every week.

There are always Pro’s and Con’s

You have raised a wonderful point… I also believe that although some writers might feel the necessity to charge readers to spend gems to read their stories that have exclusive clothing options… there will be other writers that may creatively create gem options that are not as advanced. Or they will have reasonable gem choices that are extra and not necessary to advance in the story. A lot of writers give their readers options to donate gems at the end of reading an Episode. Mind you… Episode has already incorporated gem choices for all writers according to this: Updates to Community Author Created Gem Choices and this: Writer Payments: Changes to the Gem Bonus Payment … so this is almost a separate issue from not having access to the types of items that some writers would be willing to purchase to use within their story. Tbh, if I were to purchase an exclusive clothing option… I would be using it to make edits, as I have not completed my story to the point of being able to publish it yet. However of course, I am not the norm in this scenario. But you have absolutely raised a great point nonetheless!!!
